Auction for a good cause. Cheer Magic All Stars!

First off here is an AWESOME opportunity for brides and non brides alike. A group of wonderful vendors coming together for a wonderful cause. My daughter Samantha is a ALL-STAR cheerleader for the Cheer Magic All-Stars and the team needs your help and fast!

Here is a bit of history on the team.

Cheer Magic All Stars are a group of young people ages 6 to 20 who strive to be the best they can be physically while maintaining a high standard of citizenship . Our teams have worked very hard to compete with other all-star teams in Southern California with GREAT success. What makes this such a wonderful accomplishment is that many of these other teams have much better facilities to hold practices. Many of our practices are held in parks or at the homes of our caring cheer parents.

Chris Mata, our owner has done everything he can to keep our cost per team member as low as possible. Our teams are full of very talented young people. Unfortunately many of them come from under privileged homes and cannot afford all the fees associated with being a member of the team. Because we do not feel that these youths should not be limited by the amount of money in their parents bank account, we are reaching out to YOU!

Our teams recently competed in and won a State Championship competition. With this victory they have received a bid to Nationals in Las Vegas, NV to be held on April 17, 2010. We have held fund-raisers and events to help offset the cost for many of our team members. Our goal is to raise enough money to send all of our young team members to Nationals. Unfortunately, we are running out of time.

Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated. As an added bonus to anyone who donates we will send a photograph of the teams at Nationals along with a thank you and status letter. Please provide your address when leaving your donation. You can make your donation by clicking the link below. Again we cannot thank you enough.

Thankfully,
Cheer Magic All Stars

So here we are 3 days from Vegas and $3k short! So I turned to all my wonderful vendor friends to help me make this dream a reality for these little girls. And they are the more amazing friends a girl can have!

This is what we have to offer and its all for these little girls. All 100% proceeds go to Cheer Magic All Stars Las Vegas National Competition.

We will be holding an email auction for everyone and anyone who wants to enter. I will list here what is available for auction and any rules or regulations that come along with the item. The auction begins as soon as this is posted and ends tomorrow April 14, 2010 at 3pm. Winners have up to 24 hours to pay for their services in full or the runner-up bidder will get offered the auction win. In order to be eligible for bidding there is a $5 fee to enter. Once you send the $5 via pay pal you can bid as many times on as many items you would like. If the vendor you bid on is booked on your day your $5 will be refunded as your bid is null and void. Now here is the info you need. Please email info@tinamolinaevents.com your name, telephone number, email address, event date and bid amount with the vendor name/type you are bidding on in the subject line.

You can send your $5 entry fee (donation) to the following paypal:

favorite vendor #2

ok i lied. i didnt post like i said i was going to and im sorry!!! forgive me? please? lol

Well here is my 2nd favorite vendor: Meet.. Nataly Lemus

She is just ultra-fab. Her work speaks volumes.. she is AMAZING!

1) What inspires you as a photographer?
Everything. Our couples and their love story, different
personalities, fashion magazines, films, books, my
husband and our love, the weather…I could really keep
going! When you love what you do, you are easily
inspired by the smallest of things. All you need is to
have your eyes open and find the beauty in it all!

2) What made you chose wedding photography?
I love weddings. I love everything, from the planning
to the moment the very last person leaves. All the
beautiful and real emotions that I am able to capture
through my lens are priceless. You can’t fake for the
camera the emotions that radiate at weddings! When I
had a regular 9-5 job I could never guarantee that I
was going to go into the office to find smiling faces.
Now I can bet anything on it. I can also guarantee that
I will be just as happy!
3) What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
It’s hard to choose just one, so I will give you my top 3
:) I love the getting ready part because you can see, feel
and photograph the excitement, anticipation, nervousness,
etc. I also love the walking down the aisle part because
it’s always very special. Lastly, I love the
father/daughter dance! It’s so sweet and touching!
4) If you werent a photographer would you still be in
the wedding industry?
If so what would you do? If not what would you do?
There are no other options for me. This is what I love!
Is my answer sort of like cheating the question?
Seriously, though, I can’t think of anything else I
would rather do!
5) Describe why you chose this picture as your #1, all
time favorite picture? – This is where your fav pic
comes in! lol
I love it when couples flaunt their love for our camera
without even knowing it. The look coming from the
bride’s eyes in this shot is happy, excited, in love.
The way he is looking at her… need I explain? He looks
proud to be married to his bride and oh-so-in love!
It’s all about the emotions!

6) How can we contact you and what is your price range?
You can check out my portfolio at www.natalylemus.com
You can see all my weddings, engagement session and
random ramblings at www.natalylemusphoto.blogspot.com
You can e-mail me info@natalylemus.com
You can follow me on twitter at twitter.com/natalylemus
If that’s not enough, you can be my friend on facebook,
too! http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1057665639

Thanks Nataly so much for always being so helpful and bubbly! You are amazing to work with and I hope to do a million, trillion more weddings with you!

favorite vendor – PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography – Favorite Vendor 1.

Meet – Ashleigh Taylor – a pint-sized, bubbly little thing who is just adorable.

1) What inspires you as a photographer? It might sound cheesy but my couples really inspire me. You see, a founding principle of my business is that my clients are my friends, so I genuinely care about them, about their weddings, and about their stories. Their passion, their unique style, their location choices, their stories all totally inspire me on shoots and motivate me to keep doing better. Other things that inspire me are pretty details like beautiful flowers and paper products. And fashion photography. That really inspires me too ;)

2) What made you choose wedding photography? I didn’t really plan to be a photographer at all, though it was my minor in college and was always a passion of mine. I wanted to be a filmmaker and make big Hollywood movies and have my name in lights. I got some of my short films into festivals in college and life seemed grand. Then the real world kinda hit. All beginning jobs in Hollywood were either assistants or PA’s, neither of which were creative. And I got into filmmaking to be creative, make my own art my way, and tell my own stories. That’s what I wanted. I didn’t want to be behind a desk answering phones. And I get paying your dues in an industry… But I also couldn’t see myself in this life for several years, and if I did move up I was worried how it would affect my time to be with family since most people I met were working 80 hour weeks. So I had major doubts. Then I began wedding planning for my own wedding and I got OBSESSED with wedding photo blogs. And I had an a-ha moment you could say. I just knew I could do this job and love it. So I tried…and a year later here I am :)

3) What is your favorite part of a wedding day? That is a super tough question! I really like the way the whole day unfolds and the different emotions during each part. I love the Getting Ready part because I love all the excitement in the air. And I love shooting the bride’s details and seeing all the pretty things she has chosen to wear. ;) I love the First Look because its always so sweet and emotional. I love the Ceremony because that is what the wedding is all about, and I always shed a little happy tear. Always. Ceremonies get me every time! I also just LOVE shooting the brie and groom romantic shots! That is such a fun time for me! I love making my couples look like super models and just playing and having fun with them!

4) If you werent a photographer would you still be in the wedding industry? If so what would you do? If not what would you do? I’m not sure. Probably not because I am really a storyteller and I’m not sure that I would be able to tell stories as well in other wedding industry jobs. I do love event design however, I love the details of a wedding, and seeing an idea come together. So I guess if I were to work in another aspect of this industry I might like to work in event design ;) If I ever leave wedding photography, maybe I’d try to fund my own film and make it myself independent style. Or maybe I will turn into Paula Deen. I would be pretty okay with that happening. ;)
Choose ONE picture to claim as your favorite…
5) Describe why you chose this picture as your #1, all time favorite picture? – I love this photo because I feel like it just shows the calm and tender love this couple, Rachel and Mark, share. I’m not sure if it will always be my #1 fav, I feel like after every wedding I have a new #1 fav, but I’m sure this one will always be high on the list.

And here is the picture!

6) How can we contact you and what is your price range?

You can contact me by shooting an email over to info@ashleightaylorphotography.com or giving me a call (323) 207-6754.

My wedding collections currently start at $2,000. For all you potential brides out there, its really important to me that we meet in person to go over my collections, not just to discuss pricing options but also so we get to really know each other :) While I totally get that your budget is super important, it really shouldn’t be the only deciding factor on whether a photographer is right for you. I like to meet all my couples in person so I can be sure we are a good fit for each other. I believe every couple should have a photographer that fits them perfectly, because after all you will be spending the majority of your wedding day with your photographer, so if you don’t groove together that’s going to detract from your day. So if I’m around your budget, contact me and let’s meet up and find out if we are the right match for each other. :)

Ashleigh – From day 1 you were super duper fab and I had no idea how talented you were, well now i know! Thank you for letting post a little something on my blog!

favorite vendors and contest!

lets start with the favorite vendors. being in the wedding industry i have worked with so many vendors. some great, some so so and some not so hot. being a coordinator/planner i try to not only offer recommendations to my brides on who is the most affordable but who will give them the most bang for their buck because lets face it.. its rough right now and anyone planning a wedding would like to save a dollar or two if they could. :) Over the course of the next couple weeks i will be posting my most favorite vendors. some i have worked with from the beginning of my journey and some more recent, but all of them are so professional and darn good at what they do! i will be doing 3 favorite vendors for each profession. for example 3 fave photogs, 3 fav dj’s…etc…

look out for all the favorite vendor posts over the next course of the month. some posts will even let you into the vendors life a bit. ;) first fave vendor post tomorrow!

now onto the contest.. i not only coordinate/plan events but i also do all things paper. invites, table assignments, escort cards, table numbers/pictures, programs, save the dates..etc. i started with this and kinda left it behind to really work on getting clients for my coordination business. now that i have a stable growing business i want to really try to also bring this aspect of the business to life again. so what better way to do that then to have a contest! i will be offering a free design of invites, programs, save the date, seating chart and table numbers. that’s 5 different winners! here is the scoop!

all you need to do to enter is email me at info@tinamolinaevents.com with the word CONTEST in the subject. in the body of the email please provide the following: Name, Wedding or Event date, color scheme and which one of products you are interested in.

the following rules apply:

you must enter by March 7th 12:00am pst.

it cannot be used towards a current project we are working together on. however if we are currently working on invites you can enter for a chance to win a design for programs or table numbers.

this is for design only, if you would like printing and construction i can do that as well – please inquire within for quote.

*invite design will consist of main invite plus rsvp card design

the winner will be announced on March 8th so make sure to check it out! winner will be chosen by random number system.

Cant wait to work with you!

married: richie & monica 12.26.09

The day after Christmas we headed down to lovely Santa Monica to the Gorgeous Casa Del Mar to work a wedding for a lovely couple. Monica called me about 5-6 months before her wedding and to my dismay didn’t even want to meet me. She said she heard great things about me that she is ready to book. wow! amazing. When I finally did meet Monica and her lovely family they didn’t disappoint. wonderful. amazing. fun… all wrapped up into one. they were such a lovely family to work for. I cant say enough. their day was just so calm, relaxed, no stress. Monica was so organized (two thumbs up!) it made our job so smoothly. Every thing from the drool worthy damask table runners and the yummy array for see’s candy chocolates. What was not to love about this wedding.

Monica, Richie & The whole Oh family… Thank you for letting me share in your day. You are not only amazing, you are the most giving, kind and loving people I have had the honor to work for. I wish you, Monica & Richie, a lifetime filled with love & happiness.

Special thank you to Louis & Erin from Palos Studio for these beautiful pictures.

wow! where has the time gone. this year was the year of anniversaries. my 1 year wedding anniversary to the man of my dreams and my 1 year anniversary of a small twinkle in my heart to start my own business. a lot has been accomplished this year with this so-called wedding coordinator/planner/brides best friend business. my job is not only rewarding but i have made some life long friends along the way.

this year i have done 20 weddings… wow! 20 weddings, that is crazy for someone only in the business for under a year. i am so excited for next year. next year i already have 30 weddings, can you believe it?! ;)

i have met some of the most amazing people this year and whether they are brides, grooms, vendors or non related wedding folk im grateful for every one of them.
